3 Ehhh

Just shy of three years old and it's breaking. It's an expensive piece that needs to be replaced. It's unfortunate that it would be cheaper to just buy brand new then fix it

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

1 Very bad and expensive dishwasher

In the second year the soap door stopped closing and the entire dishwasher became useless. We had to use liquid dishwasher. My older Maytag shiwasher last me 15 years with 0 problems.

2 Died prematurely - were told that's common

We liked this dishwasher because it had good features, cleaned better than our old one (but not as well as our new one). The design was also attractive. However, after 2.25 years, the wash motor started making a grinding noise then packed it in. The cost to repair was 60% of a new unit, and one repair person refused to quote - "it's a Samsung? We don't fix those, they're not worth fixing. Throw it out and buy a better brand." Extremely disappointed in both hearing this and in the very very premature demise of the dishwasher. Our new one (non-Samsung, obviously) cleans better, lacks the door open feature but dries better, has more adjustable racks, a 3rd rack, and is quieter, so....

1 Just not worth your time and money

If this dishwasher didn't come with the house I bought, I would never have had the misfortune to deal with it. I've got other samsung appliances, they work well. But some fiend at the engineering group at Samsung put this dishwasher together with their own three hands, after a night of drinking a /lot/ of vodka or something. Not the good stuff either. The feature set is reasonable, but It just doesn't clean the dishes well at all! I've tried different loading patterns, different cycles, about 6 different detergents and rinse aids, cleaned it in every way I could find online... and it just doesn't work well. Especially on the top rack, there's bits of food in the cups and glasses that weren't even there when the glasses went in! I've had 20 year old portable dishwashers that cleaned better than this does. Soon as I can afford it, I will be replacing this with something else.

1 Worst appliance I have ever owned in my life

Bought this as a part of a kitchen set when I was replacing appliances. I should have kept my rusting 1980s diswasher I had, at least it worked. This thing has been nothing but a problem from day 1. First, and I suppose most importantly, it does a terrible job of washing dishes. Seriously, they do not come out clean at all. Then it started leaking on the floor. After several visits from repairmen we finally found that the bottom wash arm was cracked at the seam. It was spraying water straight sideways and right past any "seal" on the front of the unit. Replaced the arm and it stopped leaking but now the wash motor is failed. I have only had this piece of junk for 2 years tops. I will spend more money fixing this garbage then I did to buy it (slight exageration). I used to be a big supporter of the company but I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything. I am currently in the market for a new cell phone and was going back and forth but now my Galaxy will be replaced with a Pixel. Never again Samsung.

1 Do not buy

This product has so many issues with it. The soap doesn’t dispense half of the time, the inner lining steel component has broken off and cannot be repaired. CHEAP MATERIALS.

1 I have never had a worst dishwasher, very disappoi

Just bought this two weeks ago and it just simply won’t clean the dishes. Have tried different cycles and putting in lighter loads and nothing works, except for hand washing the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher.

2 Not worth it

Bought this a few years ago from Costco. Worked ok. Needed to prewash dishes but I figured it was supposed to be more eco-friendly so put up with it. Now it has decided to stop mid cycle. Had a repairman come out who said wiring was loose but got it working. Cost 150. Again it failed mid cycle. Opened it myself and it will come on and again randomly shut off. Pretty sure it's and issue with the control panel but saw another forum that says it's the inverter. This is not worth the price. A dishwasher should last more that three years and parts made of cheap plastic shouldn't cost this much. Will not buy a samsung again.

1 Worst DW ever !!!!

Bought this DW in May of 2017. I have NEVER written a review for a product before, but this DW is HORRIBLE, the worst I've ever used in my entire life (57 years) . The drainage system has malfunctioned multiple times. The dishes basically have to be washed before running the machine, and they pretty much come out dirtier than when they were put in because there is always little particles of debris dried onto them. This is especially apparent on the top shelf. In addition, things also come out just dirty and greasy, as if they were never washed. Disgusting, unbelievable. My 10 year old Craigslist, 90$ DW worked way better than this brand new, expensive excuse for an appliance. I was very interested in it because it was supposed to be quiet, it isn't even that quiet. I just assumed that it would CLEAN THE DISHES. . . . but, a 3 hour wash cycle that doesn't even clean??!!?!?!? I mean, this is absurd. Did anyone even check this design to see if it works? What a rip off. I have read many other reviews that have made the same complaints. I wish I had returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. In fact, I will never buy another Samsung DW.
