this microwave does not heat food or water placed in the middle. uneven heating and cooking. also, terrible reliability. in the first year of ownership, the microwave cyclotron stopped working and i had to jump through hoops to get the warranty claim honored. when the technicians did arrive and replaced the cyclotron, they did not reinstall the microwave to the counter and left it for me to get help from a handyman (at additional cost) to do this. next, after 6 months after repairs, the microwave just stopped powering on also, samsung does not put the serial number of the product anywhere but the front sticker and this comes off easily with household cleaning products. without a serial number, they won't honor their warranty either!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

We bought this to replace another Samsung that failed under warranty and the microwave door "handle" on the newer models had changed. This is great for those cases when you still want your brands to match. I was initially skeptical of having no handle on the outside of the door but now I love it!

i bought this to replace a 2-1/2 year old Frigidaire MW that fried itself. generally a good MW but noisier that others. Home Depot installation leaves a lot to be desired I had to complete and correct the installation.
